2 Day Murchison Falls Safari

2 Days Murchison Falls Safari

2 Days Short Murchison Safari is now Uganda’s wildlife top safari experience and visitors get to enjoy the most world power full waterfalls, where the world’s longest river explodes violently through a narrow cleft in the Rift Valley escarpment to plunge into a frothing pool 43m below. You get to see spot a list of wildlife in Uganda including the Nile, elephant, buffalo, giraffe, warthogs, waterbucks, and a variety of antelope are regularly encountered on game drives, and the jungle lions are seen.

Day 1: Kampala – Murchison Falls National Park

Our guide picks you up from your hotel or place of residence at 0600 am and begins the panoramic drive north-west through the famous Luwero Triangle and Masindi. Continue to Murchison Falls cross the free for an early lunch ready to catch up with an afternoon boat safari upstream the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the falls stopping just tens of meters from the “Devil’s Cauldron”. En-route, marvel at the toothsome hippos, crocodiles and over this 17 km stretch you may see elephant, waterbuck, and Uganda Kob crocodile. This is also a zone of many bird species like Goliath heron, Egyptian goose, pelican bee-eater, kingfisher, hornbill, cormorant, and the rare shoebill stork. There you leave the boat and start your – quite heavy – hike to the Top of the fall (approx. 1 hour).
