7 Days Murchison & Queen Elizabeth

The 7 Days Murchison & Queen Elizabeth takes you to Uganda’s largest park that is situated in Northwestern Uganda. Queen Elizabeth offers the best chance to explore the most popular park in Uganda. All Parks boast over 86 of mammals and about 606 types of bird species with different activities and experiences. Our 7 Days Murchison & Queen Elizabeth begins and end in Kampala/Entebbe

Day 1: Travel to Murchison Falls National Park (Travel Time +6 hours)

After an early breakfast, our driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel or at your place of residence, and embark on your 6 journeys to Murchison Falls National Park. You will go through the Luwero, and later have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino tracking; here you will find both black and white rhinos.

After tracking has another stop in Masindi where you will have lunch after lunch proceeds to the park and along you will see various animals such as warthogs, baboons among others as you drive to the lodge, relax the whole evening.

Day 2: Morning game drive and a boat cruise along the Nile

Today, you will have an early morning game drive after a cup of tea at 6.30 am. Lucky enough have the chance to spot such mammals as lions, leopards, buffaloes, giraffes, elephants, antelopes, waterbucks, and birds among others. After the game drive at around 11:40 am, drive back to the lodge, for morning breakfast, relax/freshen up and have lunch as you prepare for the afternoon boat cruise.

On the boat trip, you will be able to see various Nile crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes, and elephants along the banks of the Nile as well as different beautiful birds such as the bee-eaters, the colored kingfishers, the shoe billed stork and many others. The boat will lead you to the base of these falls, where you will get out and start off on a 1-hour hike to the top of the Murchison waterfalls, you will see amazing sceneries; right from the falls, vegetation among others. You will meet your driver guide at the top who will later transfer you back to the lodge.

Day 3: Departure/Return to Kampala

Enjoy your breakfast; thereafter proceed for another Game drive in the morning on your way back to Kampala. It will be a great time as you look out for various animal species though most of them will be seen in the grasslands feeding such as buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, lions, antelopes, not forgetting a number of bird species. Leave the park, have a stop in Masindi for lunch, and continue with the journey reaching Kampala in the evening.

Day 4: Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park (Travel Time +6 hours)

After morning breakfast, your driver-guide will pick you up and embark on your drive to western Uganda which takes about a 6-hour drive. Have an en-route stopover for photography at the equator, lunch in Mbarara town, and Igongo culture center to explore Ankole culture, then proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park and transfer to your lodge. In the evening you will be taken to have a glance at traditional salt industries and mining methods, tour around the Crater Lake region.

Day 5: Game drive viewing and Boat cruise on Kazinga channel

Begin your day with a cup of tea and then embark on a morning game drive in the main camp at Mweya peninsular which is attractively positioned, separating Lake George from Lake Edward by the Kazinga channel. This will provide you with the opportunity to view animals like jackals, Bushbucks, forest hogs, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, lions, the beautiful Uganda Kob, bush pigs among others. Later, back to the lodge for late breakfast, relax at the poolside, and wait for lunch at your lodge. In the afternoon head to a fantastic launch cruise on the Kazinga channel, with lots of beautiful bird viewing, and a game like buffaloes, hippos, elephants, crocodiles, among others.

Day 6: Wild Chimpanzee tracking and game drive along with Ishasha sector

After breakfast head to Kyambura gorge for a nature walk in an underground forest to such for primates like Chimpanzees, Baboons, monkeys, and many more. While here, you will see different types of trees on which forest elephants feed. After you will drive back to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, game drive along with Ishasha sector famous for tree climbing lions which are really one of a kind to this very place and it also offers you a classic game viewing experience under vast rift valley skies and expect to see buffaloes, hippos, elephant, Topis, Impala, Kob and so on

Day 7: Game drive along with Kasenyi sector and departure to Kampala/Entebbe

After morning breakfast, you will embark on a drive en-route drive to Kampala/Entebbe along with the Kasenyi sector which is endowed with Antelopes, Buffaloes, Warthogs, elephants, and many other wild animals including lions and leopards. You will have an opportunity of passing through small towns, see several foothills of Mountain Rwenzori, small rivers that originate from Rwenzori mountain ranges as well as cross the equator at Kikorongo, and so on.
